Fun with Fusion

Well, we haven’t played with things too much here with Fusion, but what we have done is trying to use a virtual machine created on Windows to see if it would work in the Mac environment and sure enough it does work – and quite well at that. The first boot takes a little longer, other than that, it’s really quick.

Overall, I think that Fusion is certainly a better option than Parallels 2, as I can’t compare directly to P3. Having said that, if you are in a shop that is a mix of Windows and Mac, VMware might be the way to go with it’s platform agnostic files. I think that Parallels should be able to do the same thing mind you (there is a version of the software for Windows) – sharing vvms between platforms.
