Growing up, my brother and I had received a couple of posters from family friends. One, a red Lamborghini Countach; and the other a white Porsche 911. I remember picking the Lambo because “it was more aerodynamic”, but there was always something about that 911 that caught my eye whenever I went into my brother’s room. To this day, I couldn’t tell you what it may have been, but I have some sort of emotional soft spot for white cars. My first Lexus was pearl white and now my first Tesla is also a pearl white. It also has curves that “kinda sorta” remind me of that 911 that hung on the wall in my brothers room.
This SR+ Model 3, isn’t any super car. Though with specs that will likely allow it to hold its own with many production ICE sports cars. But it’s not this feature that allowed me to check something off my list. It’s the drivetrain. I’ve always wanted an EV. I’ve always hated paying for gas. That’s the bucket list item. An EV.
It’s the entry level trim, but that’s more than what I need. It’s my small part (complete once my solar panels finally arrive) to reduce if not eliminate carbon emissions in my life.
