Critterism

Ok, this is more simulation than game, but I don’t have a separate category because sims are game like … so if you are dealing with how a population of plants and animals responds to various stresses, you might want to take a peak at this and see if it meets you needs. If nothing else, it’s got a cute icon.

I’ve played with it for a while and even though you can’t easily identify individual critters, you can “dye” the world and see how the next generation comes up and you can also kill off an entire species and see what that does to the equilibrium of your world. It also seems that if you go nuts on either biocide, eventually, a new form of either plant or animal will emerge (or so it seems). I find it most interesting to kill off all of animals and then create only one species to see what it does and then introduce a second to see their interplay. It seems that you can’t kill off the plants for very long.
