I’ve been in meetings all day, so this is the first that I’ve been able to write (it seems that Steve has noticed it as well), but it seems that there are more than a few companies that are starting to look at the online usability. Corel and now Adobe (with Lightning and Photoshop/Remix respectively – GN links) are working on applications that interact with content online. So, between the desktop apps and the online apps, these new middle apps are certainly looking to be the future. Now in addition to basic apps like Picnik, more powerful apps mean that ubiquitous computing is getting one step closer and the importance of network is ever larger.
