Even though Telus Mobility thinks it’s the biggest wireless provider in the country (with it’s locked CDMA phones), they must be suffering (or smart – pr0n seems to be the key to profits for any medium) as they are the first to offer adult content to subscribers. Even though they say that the content is age protected (yeah right, how well does that work anywhere else… when junior borrow’s mom or dad’s phone, I don’t think there is any manner of protection for the content there), I don’t think there are many users who are going to password that content.
I don’t think this is going to really matter – as kids can already get this content with the browser on their phone, but this is certainly another thing to make already paranoid admins even more worried about cell phones in the school.
Edit – it seems that this post has caught the eye of someone at Telus – I’ve been getting hits from Telus Mobility all morning.
