Spam Karma whitelist hacked?

This morning, checking my email, I found that there were a number of spams from an IP that was previously blacklisted got through. Somehow, spammers have figured a way to get themselves whitelisted. While looking through all the logs, I noticed that my Akismet wasn’t up to date, so I’ve fixed that and hopefully I’ve got the problem under control.
