Safari 3.1 vs FireFox 3b4

I’ve been trying both browsers on and off at work and after a couple of weeks on two latest and greatest, I have to say that I’m not impressed. It’s not to say either are bad – they are well ahead of other browsers on the Mac, but each are still having issues, at least in my workflow. Safari seems to not like to play nice with WordPress – messing up formatting everywhere and it is still not supported by Google in Google Docs, but it is for the Calendar. It also takes forever to load pages the first time.FF3b4 is fast, but every now and then it sucks up resources to the point that it stalls the system or crashes. It’s still beta, so I hope that gets solved, but after 2.0.11->2.0.12 these crashes became more frequent (before they were rare). So while I am hopeful, it is a tempered hope.A solution… well I’m not 100% sure, a mix of browsers can work, but it’s more work. Hopefully FF3 comes out as a full release soon as it, assuming everything else is equal, has proved to be the better browser.
