This is from a set that I took earlier in the season, but I never uploaded. If I remember why, I was going to do it, but then got wrapped up in getting shots up that were representative enough to get an ID for as I didn’t know what bird this was at the time.
I found it as I was going back through and looking for shots for a photo contest after just having listened to something on CBC about how we should really try to get into the habit of deleting bad shots or shots that don’t get posted. I’ve never been a fan of that – I don’t import the easy to identify trash and everything else, to me at least has some value. Regardless if it is the “perfect” shot or one that was used as a “walk up backup”. There is almost always something to learn from a failed shot as there might be at least one thing that was right, but at the time you review it, that can’t be appreciated.
So why this shot this week? Well, I’m sitting tall knowing that, at least for me, my photo management paradigm remains valid for me.
