I’ve always loved the shots of fiddleheads unrolling, I don’t know why, but it just looks very cool. This larger plant came up over the last big rain (I thought it didn’t make it through the winter at first) with the smaller plan coming up now though this weekend’s rain. I originally was trying to get a shot of a Bluejay that was in the yard, but by the time I grabbed the camera, the jay was gone, but the fiddlehead was there. Hopefully the smaller head stays curly through this weekend and I can get a nice low angle shot of it as well.
And not to jinx myself, but last week it felt like something was changing, and indeed things seem to be – I got my first interview lined up as well as potentially a photo gig. Not I hope that that doesn’t unravel, but rather that it unfurls like the fronds of the fern.
