This is by far the most popular, commented and interesting (as per Flickr) picture I’ve ever posted. What I find interesting is that when I put it up last week, it had no activity, but then I thought to put it into a voting group – as I’d done with others and it just took off. I put it into 4 Aces and I’m at 36 aces in a week. It got addicting waiting to see what others said – much like any other “networked” addiction (email, sms, facebook).
In processing the 1600 or so pictures that I took, I’ve come to realize one thing – adjusting every picture is a load of work, RAW rocks (recovering details from blown out or badly light shots with some ease) and when memories are attached, it’s hard to filter out that is really good (D’Arcy wrote about that a few weeks ago). Part of me wants to create a nearly complete photo documentary of my trip, complete with all the little details (what I love about Disney), but then the question comes when choosing the ones to display – is it a good picture or a good part of the story.
In the end, I think it’s going to be a compromise (like all things), I’ll post likely about 400 images that include the great captures filled in with with decent shots that help move the “story” of the trip.
