When I took this, I was pondering if a tilt-shift or a Lens Baby to be able to change the plane of focus while using only available light. I’m sure that if I used a flash and stopped down, I would be able to get everything in focus, but I think that would have made for a bit of a boring picture. After taking this, I tried it with the onboard flash and the problem was that as I stopped down the wood grain details and dust became much more apparent. The picture also seemed to lose it’s feeling of motion.
