Google, what’s with the deal with slow scripts?

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that various Google apps – Reader, Mail and iGoogle are not playing nice with Mac browsers – at least on Macbook Pros? This has happened on two machines that I support – to the point where FF and Google are not playing nice and locking up the machine. Safari at least trucks through, gets pokey, but warns of slow or unresponsive scripts. Now this may be an Apple things as well – but a slow script is s slow script no?

Great – I thought it was just me. FireFox and Safari keep sending up ‘unresponsive script’ errors, and really slowing my macbook down. Let me know if you find a fix. Between apple mail being slow, and googlemail killing the machine, email is starting to become a struggle.

Seems that using Basic HTML should help after a few logins – turning off web clips and chat also helps.
