If you have used FURL, you might be interested in a new service that is going to be entering a public beta soon – Iterasi – It seems to be much the same as FURL, but I’ll have to wait and see what it’s going to be like in the end. I think it’s going to end up being somewhere between FURL and Zetero, but with seemingly more useability in terms of archiving (Zetero is way out in the lead in terms of integration).
Both systems require you to install something, I’m waiting for a system like SnapShots that will do that snapshot for you in the background. The first service that does this in a seamless manner will be onto something. You can always hope that Google might have a cache, but that is really playing dice.
If you are using the ‘net for any manner of research, saving the screen that you get is vital, these services can all help you to get around the “old school” method – “save as”.
