For anyone who is interested in watching, the FLL completion for Alberta is this weekend. I’ll be there judging. It should be interesting with the NXT kits being used (I think) and if the juniors are involved, it could be a really fun weekend.
Edit – The Longhorns won this year (they are from Calgary) and the runner up team from Edmonton was the Stonecutters. The difference between the NXT machines and the Mindstorms wasn’t really that much. The kids said that they enjoyed using the NXT stuff a little more than the older kits because they tended to stay together a little bit better, but otherwise, they were interchangeable.
