Well, the trip out to Hawaii was long, but fun (I was in a plane after all). Landing in San Francisco was a treat â though we could barely see the Golden Gate because of the fog, but after a decent lay over, we left for Hawaii. We were in the Economy Plus section â and that meant that there really was better room in the seats. But while I was in San Francisco I bought a book â The Search (John Battelle â www.battellemedia.com) â about the rise of Google and itâs rivals, which is a great read for all those interested in the history of the most integral innovations that have truly made the Internet useful. Itâs not about EDIT perse, but certainly a good read. I think I was âprimedâ to buy it because in the back of the in flight magazine was an ad for working at Google. This was a good thing, because as I found out when I got on the plane â row 16 window⦠doesnât have a window! I was devastated until I found out that they had cockpit radio traffic on the entertainment system. It reminded me about one of the episodes in MASH â where Hawkeye is blinded by a flashburn and is forced to hear his world for a time. This time, on the flight, I had to hear to achieve my aviation buzz. I was able to get some pictures by leaning over to another seats. Getting into the hotel, everything went well. I just have to try to find my Jamba Juice and the peanut butter/chocolate smoothie (I found it at the Outrigger â the Peanut Butter Mooâd).
