Ok, this was just totally odd. I was walking back to the office and in front of me falls from a tree this baby Chickadee! I tried to get it off the sidewalk using some paper so it wouldn’t imprint on or smell like me so that at least it would not get stepped on. I know it’s not likely to survive for very long right now, but at least there are not many Magpies or Crows out on a cloudy day like today. In the process, the poor thing almost gets stepped on by some idiotic “kid” who I really “teacher voiced” to cut through the iPod – scaring the shiz out of him in the process as he was going to step on this poor little bird without even noticing. Scarey, sad, but true…
