Captain Copyright busted to Private Doh!-boy

I got this on one of my grape vines over the last week. Bruno Beauregard and Greg Pilon, Co-Chairs of Access Copyright received a letter from the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC) by Karen Casey (Chair) advising them that there are serious misrepresentations on the Captain Copyright site (that is now “down for updating”) and suggests that the teachers et al who are having issues understanding copyright, take a look at Copyright Matters (mirrored here), a publication by the CMEC that explains what teachers can and can’t do. It’s certainly better than the draconian “you can’t do anything without selling your children”, but it’s not quite “do what you want, you’re a teacher” that some believe is the case.
