One of my most popular posts has been my Hackintosh build list, and while that machine is still a dream, I’ve been thinking more and more about hacking a netbook rather than a desktop. The reason being is that the list of known components in a ‘book is much easier to work with compared to the DYI desktop. But as with everything else tech, and inline with the idea I had at the start of the year, I’m watching and waiting to see how things evolve, and evolve they have. LifeHacker has a super easy/no hack tutorial to build a desktop Hack that runs 10.6 and can be normally upgraded for under 1K plus screen. There are some additional helpful pointers in the comments, specifically the drive setup in the BIOS.
