This was an interesting find today – it seems that photo sharing/processing and I would assume the related industries are “booming” in this economy. So why am I beaking about about the economy when I should be talking about what I learned about taking these photos? Well if you listen to the last little bit of the story that I’ve linked to, the whole “memories are forever” really has hit home for me.
Watching how much my daughter has changed over the last three weeks and having witnessed all manner of moments that I wish I had a camera handy (some happen at odd times so a camera would never be available), those moments that I have caught are entirely priceless. I’m trying not to make them look all the same, but that can be challenging, but I’m also finding that some of the “similars”, though the composition might be similar to others (baby with family/friend), but what seems to be the kicker is trying to get the expression of the two or if that is not possible, trying to change the angle enough to suggest something about the mood.
BTW – the strap here was “free” from SmugMug, it’s a great neoprene accessory and I don’t mind promoting them as my new gallery service. As good as my own Coppermine setup was, SmugMug has afforded much more flexibility and has handled the load from family and friends looking at my daughters pictures with ease.
