I took this shot a while ago now, but not only is it timely as the last POW before Dec 25th, it is also one that I took with a multi flash setup. This week I took another shot on the tree with only a single flash and no reflectors or anything else and felt incredibly limited in what I was able to do. Not only for the fully light shots, but also for the low light ambient shots and how much a remote release and good tripod. This is not to say that I didn’t enjoy trying to make the best of what I had to work with, I just had an opportunity to realize how much these tools have allowed me to expand my horizons. This also got me thinking about how much I’ve learned this year, not only with respect to photography, but in many other areas as well. I’m sure next year will be an even more amazing learning journey.
