It seems that if this report is to be believed. Based on information from Mobile Intelligence (a report that I can’t find), one can safely assume that now that there is at least a basic phone with txt capacity in just about every hand out there, mLearning is something to be seriously considered. Granted there are some places with 100%+ adoption and other places with far less and not all phones are “smart”, but the justifications for ignoring the ubergadget with it’s ability to store information are quickly evaporating.
What might make this different from land line penetration? The developing world is largely leading the charge on this and because you can store information on a mobile, it becomes far more useful than a landline.
