Cheaper calling

If you are the type that makes heavy use of Skype or Vonage for long distance or local calling, you might want to take a look at MagicJack, a USB based system that seems to be cheaper than either of the other two that I mentioned. It looks like the service is beta right now (what isn’t in beta these days)  and is limited to the US.
