Yup, more Disney; nope, no apologies. I commented on D’Arcy’s blog about how amazing Aperture is and this picture is but one example of why. When we were in Disneyland, we only had one afternoon of sun. The rest of the time, it was cloudy and though there was certainly enough light to shoot and get good details without pushing the ISO past 800, the lack of sun did have the effect of changing the colors, or at least how they were captured. I don’t know what shooting in JPG would have done for colors, but shooting RAW and then being able to adjust to what I remember is so freaking cool!
The other thing that I noticed was that the first time I posted this image, I simply borrowed it from my online album, and it seems that there too, the colors got washed out (eg via gallery, Aperture). I was starting to think that Aperture wasn’t doing as I hoped, but thankfully I was wrong.
