It’s Bad Behaviour behaving badly

Well, it seems that the drama that I’ve been having with my blog of late has been due perhaps because of some issues with Netfirms and their MySQL database, but it seems that I have found the culprit. Bad Behaviour. It seems that in my quest to protect the blog, everything got protected a bit too much after upgrading to WordPress 2.2.

Unfortunately to find this out, what I had to go through – which is not bad, because I’m glad I did now because I can do it again – is the complete rebuild do of this blog from top to bottom – entirely from the back end using myPHPAdmin. But now, I know a little more and I’m not worried about having something go south on me while I’m getting the blog up to the newer versions. I’ve also found that there is a much better way to backup data for the blog as well – use the export tool in WordPress itself.

So I’m back and with any luck, I won’t have to eat crow when I post this message. I know I’ll have fun fixing the feeds.

I don’t even know what you’re talking about. Bad Behavior should cause no trouble on WordPress 2.2. It works fine for everyone else, including myself.

I realize that it might be working for others, but it fouled my install and it was the only plugin that was was causing me issues.

It might have been a configuration issue, but in the end it might be a “mileage may vary” issue.

Thanks for letting me know that there are no issues with others (I googled before I put this up and didn’t find anything of consequence) and I might try it again in the future if I get the time to experiment.
