Well, the traveling part of September is over, and now the only interesting thing is the Turkey Trot (I’ll be doing the 8k route tomorrow). It will be Aishani’s first fun run… well, she’ll be wheeled. The gallery from Banff and Jasper is online, be sure to check out the shot of the Milky Way.
Well, I’m done traveling for a while and I’m glad to be home – not that it’s going to be any less busy – Turkey Trot is coming up on the 26th here. While in Banff and Jasper I got some great sky shots, I’m working on getting them posted soon.
Just in case anyone is wondering, or is trying to book (or had booked for them via Hotels.ca et.al) “The Resort at Canmore”, it doesn’t exist. It’s really the Worldmark by Wyndham.
Victoria certainly was an adventure. First trip with all the kids, first flights, first time to the Inner Harbour (I think). Travel is always worth it, and when I can score a few good shots from the process, why not. My Victoria album is online now.
Saw a Humpback in the wild, likely from about 700m away, but wild as likle closer than I’ll get for a while. Was totally worth the money, had there been no whale, then the “rock sausages” wouldn’t have quite tipped the scales, as cool as they were. Seeing Bald Eagles would have have blown the [...]
It looks like I will be headed to Jasper after Banff as the archivist for Science 100. I’ll be taking stills and video of all the cool goings on there.
This September is going to see us in the mountains quite a bit. First to Victoria, which really doesn’t have that many mountains in the area, but BC is still all about mountains.
