Well, I did it. After being one of those kids who hated running, now I’m one of those crazies who runs for hours (well 1h 49min) just for fun. I was hoping to do this last year, but when all was said and done last year, injury and baby prep, combined with a massive amount of yard work were not really letting me line up for Disney Half Marathon that I was planning to do since 2006. But in the scheme of things, a year off isn’t that bad as you can’t ever really plan for things that will change your life. I don’t think I’ll be making plans for LA next year, but I certainly want to be able to do the Edmonton 2010 Half and I am still hoping to be a torch bearer this winter. I just hope I don’t get my chance when I’m returning from the Caribbean, hopefully it will be a couple days after that – cutting it short I know.

Well, I’ve got the add credits, so I might as well use them to promote my services. It is interesting how narrow you can put your target zone. Apparently mine will be sent to just over 35000 people at 4000 impressions/day.

Well it seems that it went all the way up to the “National” level and the Ball Busters, because for whatever reason, were classed to be in a rec division are not eligible to play in the next playoff rounds, but we will likely be in Div 10 for the Winter season. That’s fine. It means that I’ve got more time for my runs, yard and family.

Well, it’s down to one game now on the 12th for all the Div 12 marbles. The game last night was quite something. The Coolies, a classic bully/goon team did everything including spit on the faces of our players and we managed to keep our cool (congrats Mehul and Armin!) and grind out a 3-2 win. Next game Aug 12th.

The Ball Busters are in the finals tonight against the Coolies, it should be a good hard game. First of three with the next two coming up next week.
