Picture of the Week – Angel of Christmas
Well, I don’t think I’ll be able to get to the computer tomorrow morning – being Bug’s first Christmas after all – so I’m posting early. I really like the mix of madness and serenity in this shot. It really does seem fitting for the season.
I had to take this shot leaning over the ropes so it was completely a mind’s eye composition. I knew what I should get in frame and where everything should turn out and for the most part I got it. I think I took three shots of this and this might have needed some cropping to get
just right”. What getting this shot suggests to me, is that if you know what you want, and how to get it you’ve done more than half the work. If you know what your camera will give you under the conditions you’ve done just under half the work. The remainder is hitting the shutter and the little bits of post production to get it ready.
