Picture of the Week – Light my way
I took this shot was specifically so I could use it today to celebrate Diwali tomorrow. Nothing really learned from it, though it is another one that could have been sitting either in landscape or portrait orientation. I did play with a couple shots playing with DOF and this is the one that I liked the best with the top of the lantern in focus.
Traditionally, Diwali lights are small oil or butter fueled diyas, but I’m sure as time went along, tinwork like this would have been seen around as well.
For a surprising and eloquent explanation of the event, Obama has recorded a piece on YouTube.
